Familiar names before the reorganisation: Hà Tĩnh.

Hà Tĩnh combines remembrance sites, literary heritage and a coastline; this short trip focuses on the Nghi Xuân area.

DEFENDING THE NATION

Phan Dinh Phung — Resolve rooted in Dong Thai

Born in Dong Thai village, now in Duc Tho commune, Ha Tinh; led resistance from Vu Quang.

Discover the Ha Tinh patriot associated with the late nineteenth-century Huong Khe resistance.

Phan Dinh Phung (1847–1895) came from Dong Thai. Joining the Can Vuong movement in 1885, he gathered resistance against French colonial rule with a base at Vu Quang.

His memorial house in Dong Thai and grave on Ne Son hill provide places to learn and remember. Read the interpretation, respect the setting and retell history carefully.
